Welcome to the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society Blog. This your portal to the inner workings of the museum and archives. This blog is written by the museum employees and interns.
Patricia Ahl is the librarian and archivist at PHS. She is a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. Originally from Long Island, she graduated from St. John's University with a degree in English and a minor in classics. Her articles will be primarily on the archive and library collections. She enjoys reading, writing and telling stories. Her favorite period of history is the early middle ages, but she had no desire to actually visit.
Eleanor Langham is the museum assistant at the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society. A Connecticut native, she graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2011 with a bachelors in history and anthropology. Her focus is on the object collection at PHS. When she is not giving tours or running the gift shop at the Old Washington County Jail, she can be found digging up the past as an archaeological field technician. She spends her free time hiking throughout New England or frequenting the local coffee shops. If she had to travel back to just one period in time, she would want to observe New England prior to European contact.
